Narrow VS Wide Stance for Glutes

n1 training

Before I present all our data I wanted to discuss the current research and interpretation of that data. This will hopefully make it clear to people that have been confused by the current data or how we are reporting our data.

Hopefully this will decrease the trolling from people that think reading abstracts is a sufficient way of interpreting research data.

I used what I consider to be the best designed and also most recent study on the topic in the examples here to show how the conclusions you draw from the data can change quite a bit when when you compare the mean ratios rather than just absolute means.

It’s common to have people comment EMG is BS on any data that conflicts with their bias. Sadly the quality of the data and interpretation can make it hard to defend some studies, but really the interpretation is just as much of an issue. EMG data can absolutely be valuable and valid, but study design and interpretation have to be on point.

This is why at N1, we not only do our labs differently to look specifically at what we want to know; we also look at biomechanics, practical testing, EMG, MOXY, as well as tracking progress of application all together.

I’d appreciate a share with your audiences as this is where these questions come from most. 🙏 in advance to those that do!
